*Flyers*
An important part of maintaining lines of open communication with students involves the creation of informative flyers. Flyers can be posted around school, or on classroom bulletin boards, informing students of upcoming activities and events that might spark their interests!
While the simple flyer on the left was created using formatting techniques in Microsoft Word, after viewing a demonstration on the uses of the web tool Glogster, my class was required to create our own "glogs" advertising for a school event. This tool can be extremely helpful in the classroom, allowing for an interactive learning experience. Text, pictures, videos, and links are all easy to embed while personalizing one's own flyer on this user friendly site. Rather than presenting a standard PowerPoint, students and teachers alike can enjoy the production process that incorporates ISTE NETS 1-3: creation, communication, and research.
